Jorge Rivera, MD

Dr. Rivera is a highly accomplished and enthusiastic pediatrician currently serving patients in Florida since 2015. He obtained his medical education from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 2002, and then went on to complete a pediatric residency within the University Pediatric Hospital at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Dr. Rivera holds extensive expertise in the emergency department, neonatal intensive care unit, and private office settings. Due to his outstanding achievements, he was named Top Pediatrician in Jacksonville, Florida, by The International Association of Pediatricians in 2016. Additionally, in order to stay current in his field, Dr. Rivera remains a professional member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Florida Medical Association. He attributes his success to his family, his wife and daughters, for they give him the strength to keep going forward. His hobbies include photography, travel, and technology. As an interesting fact, Dr. Rivera knows the biography of almost every superhero in the DC and Marvel Universes!
Erica Smith, APRN

Erica graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Florida in 2007 with a B.S in Nursing. While working as an RN she went on to receive her Masters in the Science of Nursing from UF in 2009. In January 2010 she completed her certification through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and has been practicing in primary care ever since. Over the years, Erica has been a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International, American Holistic Nurses Association and the Florida Nurses Association.
Erica truly loves working in pediatrics. She enjoys working closely with parents and children to promote health and wellness, but she is also honored when trusted to care for sick children. She strives to be as natural as possible when providing patient care.
Although a native to Wisconsin, Erica has lived in Jacksonville since 2007. Erica is married to her wonderful husband, Brian, who works as a civilian with the Navy. Together they have 3 boisterous boys, Trenton, Walker and Gavin. Dexter is their sweet, but naughty and energetic family dog. If you ever call after hours, you just may hear them in the background noise! Outside of work Erica enjoys traveling, hiking in cooler climates, volunteering at church and school and considers herself foodie!
